Job description
The Department of Computer and Information Sciences and the College of Natural & Applied Science at The University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) invite applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, starting in Spring 2023.
The position mainly seeks applicants in Networking and Cyber-Security areas, focusing on cyber security, networking, Internet of things, or cloud computing.
Required qualifications: A doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields is required. ABD candidates may be given consideration if the doctorate degree is received by December 2022. For assistant professor level, evidence of teaching commitment and excellence and potential to establish a sustainable research track is required. For associate professor level, strong record of teaching excellence and established research is required.
Preferred qualifications: The ability to work in multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary setting; experience teaching online courses; experience in cybersecurity or networking research and grant application. To be considered for the associate professor rank, the candidate must have a demonstrated track record of excellence in research in the areas of interest to this advertisement; excellence in teaching (with support from student evaluations if available); and commitment in service to the institution, the department, and the community.
