We are looking for an experienced general practitioner, interested in a varied caseload, for our very busy general practice. We partner with mobile specialists, including cardiologists, radiologists and surgeons, to provide the latest and most up-to-date standards of care for our patients. We also provide in-house blood work, digital full-body and dental X-ray, laser therapy, CBD options, and acupuncture. Located in the heart of the highly desirable Highlands neighborhood, our unique practice is in a two-story Victorian home that has been converted, as well as a separate surgery and dental suite in the bungalow next door. Established in 2013 by Dr. Allison Jenkins, Highlands Animal Clinic has become a beloved part of the local Highlands community.
Our support team is low-drama, compassionate and caring, and growing quickly. We are are supportive of our staff, and value a collaborative approach to patient and client care.
We offer a competitive benefit package including PTO; health insurance; 401K match; CE allowance for licensing, memberships and education; and, of course, pet care benefits for your own pets. The schedule is 4 days per week and one Saturday shift per month.
What we expect from you:
- Proficient in Preventive Veterinary Care
- Experience with elective surgeries, including spay, neuter, mass removal, other minor procedures
- Comfortable with dental extractions
- Efficient medical case work-up
- Compassionate client communication
- Team-oriented value system and work ethic
- DEA license preferred but not required
- Current CO DVM license
- Current PLIT (renewal can be reimbursed once employed)
