Position Summary

The Underwriter is responsible for reviewing potential US Auto Sales finance applications for credit worthiness and appropriate deal structure. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring timely review and processing and that all decisions meet the expectations and standards set forth in the policy/procedure and the Credit Scoring Model. Oversee the daily operations of the store to ensure store profitability.

• Reviews submitted finance deals for credit worthiness.
• Confirms the structure of the deal an appropriate fees and taxes.
• Assists Underwriting Manager with Credit Modeling and Scoring.
• Collaborates with company and dealership management in an effective manner.
• Directs the hiring, training, and performance management for staff.
• Cultivates an enthusiastic work environment that will build positive employee attitudes and increase employee morale.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate degree in related field and/or 3-5 of consumer finance experience
• Computer literacy to include Data Entry, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
• Strong attention to detail/accuracy
• Ability to manage large volume of documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

• 3+ years of automotive finance experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
