POSITION SUMMARY

Baristas that are engaging, courteous and passionate about food and beverage preparations and education. Barista will greet customers, excel at customer service, answer questions, take orders, prepare and serve food and drinks, and take payments through our POS System. You will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation. To succeed as a barista, you should be committed to providing customers with excellent service. You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets all customers with a fast, friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
• Verbally receives and calls back customer orders in a friendly manner.
• Responds proactively to prevent customer service situations and reports all customer complaints to the manager on duty.
• Accurately rings sales orders into POS and counts back change to customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Answers customer questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness.
• Weighs, grinds and packs coffee per customers' orders according to company guidelines.
• Prepare a variety of dishes in a variety of kitchen equipment according to restaurants standardized recipes.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintain efficient, friendly service.
• Restocks shelves when necessary.
• Assists in the ordering and distribution of weekly shipments.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station.
• Routinely cleans the FOH, BOH, and Dining areas.
• Must be able to obtain food handlers card from SNHD before first day of work.
• Strict adherence to all state and federal employment laws, company policies and safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Is able to work holidays and weekends per seasonal demands and business needs.
• 16 years or older at the time of hire.
• Attained a high school diploma or equivalent credentials.
• Quality guest service skills.
• Knowledge of local area and resort.
• Bilingual

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must have the ability to lift up 20-LBS toand carry 50 yards.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to work outside in inclement weather and temperatures below 32 degrees for up to an hour.
• Preferred ski and or snowboard experience: NONE to BEGINNER
