SUMMARY:

The Lead Bartender will provide friendly, excellent service to every customer throughout the Casino, primarily in the bar. Preparing and pouring drinks for customers and Cocktail Servers., assists in handling all the personnel issues within the department and creates and maintains a fun and safe environment for all guests. Adheres to the policy and procedures of the Casino and regulations set forth under licensing agreements and responsible alcohol service.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Prepares drinks with proper portions and ingredients.
  • Operates a cash register, handling all beverage sale transactions.
  • Frequently checks back with guests.
  • Maintains cleanliness of guest areas at all times including removing empty glasses/bottles and cleaning ashtrays.
  • Maintains respectful control over guests at all times.
  • Keeps the bar area stocked, clean and ready for guests at all times.
  • Abides by all State, Federal and company liquor regulations pertaining to responsible alcoholic beverage service.
  • Assists in the overall responsibility for the beverage department in accordance with company policy.
  • Review departmental financial reports and initiates cost controls.
  • Monitors Bartenders for correct recording of all sales including the separation of entertainment sales when applicable.
  • Conducts at least one weekly inventory audits.
  • Places orders with vendors to ensure proper inventory for all function that happen within the Casino (i.e., concerts, banquet events, restaurant needs, daily and weekly promos in the bar.)
  • Ensures open line of communication with all departments to accomplish job purpose of the position.
  • Ensures proper training of bar staff and Casino personnel to adhere to policy and procedures of the bar and ABC requirements.
  • Stimulates sales through promotional activities within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Knowledge of operating the cash register and bar equipment required.
  • Ability to operate the following equipment: juice guns, cutting boards,
  • Soda guns, ice machines, non-alcoholic frozen drink machines, iced tea machines, and other.
  • necessary equipment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and any shift.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER

  • Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Robinson Rancheria Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
  • Must pass an annual Title 31 exam.
