Position Summary:

Semper Solaris is looking for an organized and motivated Battery Apprentice for our Solar Operations department. The Battery Apprentice will perform a wide variety of electrical operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and a genuine care to his/her craftsmanship.

• Service electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer's residential property
• Work with the Operations Manager and homeowners to fulfill any necessary electrical work to support our solar or battery equipment
• Remove and replace service panel from wall under disconnect/reconnect time constraints from power companies
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
• Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
• Diagnose electrical errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Prepare materials for projects

• Must have a minimum 3 years' experience in residential electrical
• Knowledge of solar industry and NEC code
• Ability to work independently and with minimal direction/oversight
• • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and work under sensitive time restraints
  • Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills
• 
  Pay Rate: $22-$28 per hour DOE ( additional $3.00 for Journeyman)

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly, and be comfortable with heights of at least 20 feet and walking on all roof types
  • Able to work in various weather conditions and in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
