Job description
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will address the behavioral health needs of clients by conducting psychiatric evaluation, prescribing, and managing psychotropic medications. They will be responsible for coordinating with other behavioral health and primary medical providers to support care management within the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) integrated model. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be certified (waivered) in the treatment of drug addiction and will assess and assist with staff development related to behavioral health and addiction treatment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Master’s level Nurse Practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatry
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required
  • Licensed to practice as nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania; Board certified or eligible as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Holds current or eligible for Data 2000 Waiver or X Waiver
  • A minimum of 3 years work Experience in Behavioral Health preferred
  • 2 years of experience in outpatient setting with knowledge of FQHC program preferred
  • Proficiency in use of electronic medical record required
  • Community-based experience preferred
