We are currently seeking an experienced Biller to provide support for our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Biller, be familiar with insurance billing and medical billing and have excellent grammar and telephone etiquette. The successful candidate will be able to efficiently analyze bills and make corrections and updates when necessary, and will be highly organized and detail oriented.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for reviewing and entering charges for office visits, lab work, OBGYN visits, Cardiology visits, Mental Health and Urgent care for multiple locations. Verifies and processes claims through clearinghouse (Trizetto) and other payer systems
• Posts payments, follows up on claims to ensure that accurate payment has been received, works and tracks all denials and rejected claims, logs notes in system, processes refunds,
• Balances multiple tasks accurately and in a timely manner including verifying and processing claims, submitting claims, tracking payments, working rejections and denials, refunds, overdue payments, patient statements, patient balances, and collections
• Must be comfortable discussing billing and balances with patients
• Makes follow up calls to patients and payers (insurance company, workers comp, etc)
• Responds to questions and requests from leadership, providers, payers and patients
• Coding ICD9 and CPT
• Demonstrate professional communication and problem solving with providers and leadership, participate in process improvement and educate teams on updated guidelines and/or process
• Reconcile and post daily charges and payments into system quickly and accurately, identifying any errors or unpaid charges

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Medical Billing/Coding is REQUIRED
• Experience with Trizetto and ECW ehr system preferred but not required
• Position is located in the office. This is NOT a remote-work position.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of claims in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
