Career opportunity – Aggregates Billing Specialist

Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Location: Mokena, IL

As Billing Specialist, you will be an integral part of our customer interfacing team.

Fast paced environment! You will leverage your experience in billing to support accurate and timely invoices and carrier payments.

Problem solving is key! You will analyze and identify billing and ticket issues.

Engage the team! You will clearly communicate findings and collaborate with customers, dispatch, and sales to obtain resolution.

Your focus:

  • Review, edit, and process a high volume of delivery tickets
  • Validate data in point of sale with order information, price sheets, and dispatch software to ensure accurate customer billing
  • Investigate internal and external discrepancies involving pricing and communicate with team
  • Coordinate flow of information with dispatch and back-office staff
  • Review all billing documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Reconcile payment information with accounts payable for carrier payments
  • Respond to requests from internal/external customers regarding invoice questions and ticket requests
  • Maintain and process tax exempt transactions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • Billing experience required
  • Microsoft D365 experience a plus
  • Aggregate/Transportation industry and dispatch/accounting experience a plus
  • Knowledge of billing and dispatch software applications, Apex/XBE a plus

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytic ability with a capacity for critical problem solving; high level of accuracy and attention to detail a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
  • Demonstrate initiative with the ability to multitask and perform independently as well as collaborate as part of a team in a fast-paced environment to meet department deadlines
  • Adapts well to change
  • Ability to effectively communicate to meet customer service levels both externally and internally across all levels of the organization
