Job description
The Director of Brand Marketing leads the development and execution of brand strategy for industry leading semi-custom cabinetry brands such as KraftMaid and Medallion. In addition to consumer marketing, the Director of Brand is responsible for driving a simplified and enhanced consumer experience.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, coach and develop the semi-custom brand team, driving towards high-performance, living company values, and creating a positive culture. Set direction and accountability for internal team.
- Set the creative direction for the brand, manage external agency partners, inspire high-quality creative through thoughtful briefs and communication of relevant insights. Create a joint culture of ambitious standards and continuous improvement with external partners.
- Lead the strategy & execution of brand marketing: consumer communication, marketing campaigns, product launches, lead gen, and creative execution across all consumer touchpoints. Leverage consumer and customer insights, trends, and performance to set strategy enabling the brand to achieve performance targets.
- Improve the consumer experience: Identify opportunities to simplify or enhance the consumer journey and partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business cases and project plans for change.
- Collaborate with Customer Strategy & Sales to support channel and designer focused initiatives.
- Develop and manage team budget and business cases, establish, and monitor project plans and performance metrics.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 8 years marketing leadership experience including brand & digital marketing, managing a budget, and leading a team.
- Ability to derive insights from data. Strong excel skills. Market research experience.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen & ability to think strategically.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
- Excellent project management skills including leading cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated successful leadership, including personnel and organization development. Experience developing goals, coaching, and building a team.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- MBA
- Familiarity with the cabinet industry or consumer durables
- Diverse marketing experience
