Business Analyst
Fully Remote
Marathon TS currently seeking an innovative, meticulous, and communicative Senior Business Analyst to join our team in the Washington DC area or remotely. In support of a Federal client, this analyst will research and write new procedure manuals, technical specifications, gather requirements from the end users and proactively search for process improvements. As the team continues to expand its team and customer base, the senior business analyst will be expected to assist with Agile processes/meetings, perform cross team coordination, and investigate and present on new technologies and initiatives.
Job Description:
- Evaluate program materials and develop innovative approaches for improvement
- Independently gather information from subject matter experts (AWS System Admins, Engineers, Security Analysts, System Architects) to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Leverage Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence) to track project work and document information for the internal team and end users.
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards, to include but not limited to basic system architectural diagrams, concepts of operations, status reports
- Develop and implement a deep understanding of the system and translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
- Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various team members to understand project requirements
- Financial management of contracts and supporting customers with understanding and agreeing to scope of work
- Works in a dynamic work environment, while utilizing flexibility to be a strong team player
Required Skills:
- Must be a US Citizen
- A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field or an additional three years of relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience in systems analysis and design of information systems programs and related business processes (SELC)
- Demonstrate the ability to interact comfortably with Senior Leadership and/or Government Executives and staff on a day-to-day basis.
- Experience structuring work plans to meet operational and leadership objectives
- Experience working with fast paced teams using Agile processes and leading Agile ceremonies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desired Skills:
- Hands on experience with Jira (creating tickets and workflows) and Confluence (creating portals)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and in data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Federal regulatory requirements and processes for financial management, budget planning, and execution

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
