Precision Biomarkers Laboratories (PBL) is an exciting new entity translating proteomic biomarkers to the clinical. PBL serves internal and external clients in the biopharma space for projects ranging from unbiased proteomics discovery to clinical translation. The predominant platform is mass spectrometry based in conjunction with three other ELISA based platforms. We are looking for a business development consultant for strategy execution, lead generation, generating statements of work, and creating strong relationships with new clients. This is an ideal position for someone that enjoys working in a fast-paced startup environment while making an impact on human health. Highly qualified candidates, residing in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Colorado, Minnesota, Florida, and Georgia, will be considered for remote work.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish relationships with new clients and secure sales to achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain and grow existing client base to increase volume and develop in-house core competencies.
- Profile prospective customers, convert leads into prospects by developing targeted messaging, engaging customers with follow-up emails/calls/face-to-face meetings and initiating first customer discussions.
- Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in proteomics and clinical diagnostics in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
- Monitor market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to enhance customer offerings.
- Establish strategic partnerships with other entities and non-profit organizations.
- Unmask underutilized resources and assets across the organization to enhance client offerings.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Life-Sciences, Business, or related field required. Master's of Business Administration degree, preferred.
Experience and Skills:
- One to two (1 - 2) years of significant sales and business development experience in the CRO, biotech, pharmaceutical, academic and/or government market segments.
- 2 (two) or more years of significant sales and business development experience in the CRO, biotech, pharmaceutical, academic and/or government market segments is desired.
- Proven track record of direct experience in building relationships with mid-level and executive decision makers at complex organizations.
- Working knowledge of proteomics technology and its application in research, clinical, and other applied markets.
- Experience in performing market analysis and deriving insights from this research.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while working independently or as part of a cross-functional team.
- Conducts presentations effectively, professionally and comfortably to customers/peers/management.
- Ability to articulate passion for the mission.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
