Call Center Specialist -
Southwoods Executive Centre

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for handling inbound and outbound patient calls with primary responsibility of scheduling encounters, accurately capturing patient demographic information, and verifying insurances through a pre-registration process. Also, this is often the first interaction established with patients and he/she is responsible for ensuring the patient receives and excellent customer service experience.
- Answer incoming calls; route incoming calls correctly and take accurate messages when unable to connect caller to requested party
- Schedule patient appointments
- Answer questions and provide information via telephone
- Update patient information and insurance in chart or EMR
- Perform other miscellaneous office/clerical duties as needed and/or as assigned by the Call Center Supervisor
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Training or courses in medical office procedures
- Knowledge and training in medical terminology
- Keyboarding accuracy
- Computer skills and EHR experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use Microsoft office products.
- Strong ethical and moral character references
Preferred
- Medical front office experience 1-2 years
- Proficient in medical terminology, MA or completion of other healthcare program.
