Motlow State is located in the beautiful rolling hills of middle Tennessee and has four campuses that serve students from eleven counties. General Function:
Act as director of daily operations including facilities liaison, mail coordination, class scheduling/room issues, overseeing customer service for the campus; supervise support staff and student workers to ensure that all appropriate records and other documentation are maintained

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree earned from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of Three (3) years of experience in higher education, community engagement, marketing, business administration or related field

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree earned from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in higher education, community engagement, marketing, business administration or related field

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as director of daily operations including facilities liaison, mail coordination, class scheduling/room issues, overseeing customer service for the campus; supervise support staff and student workers to ensure that all appropriate records and other documentation are maintained
Represent Motlow State in the assigned campus service area including interfacing with city, county, community, and business/industry leaders to recruit students, represent the college at key events; provide a continuous flow of information about the college through presentations to organizations, visits to local schools, and participation in college/career programs; assist with marketing efforts in the service area. Serve as the liaison between the campus and the community
Assist in forecasting current and future needs and costs of the campus to prepare for growth
Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals
Assist the recruitment team to identify and attend community events to promote and advertise the College mission, events, programs, etc.
Assist with preparation of reports, special projects, and events
Budget development, implementation and oversight for assigned functions.
Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of community colleges
Knowledge of applicable college policies, along with local, state, and federal laws, codes, and regulations
An understanding of data collection and analysis related to recruitment, retention, and student needs
An understanding of principles and practices of leadership and administration, including organization and budget administration, strategic planning, and organizational development
Ability to relate effectively to people of varied academic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds using tact, diplomacy, and courtesy
Demonstrated commitment to academic and professional excellence, flexibility, and adaptability
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with numerous interruptions
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with students, parents, high school counselors, fellow employees, college administrators, and other stakeholders
Ability to develop professional documents and make presentations to diverse stakeholders including groups of staff, parents, students and other stakeholders
Ability to enhance the campus community and develop collegiate culture
Ability to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, and community partners
