We are seeking effective Car Lift Operators to provide aggressive hospitality to hotel guest at The Arlo Wynwood Hotel in Miami, FL.

• Position involves customer service, parking and retrieving guest vehicles, the safe operation of a car lift.
• Properly lift and lower a vehicle, prepare the service bay, maintain load stability, and take care of a vehicle lift.
• Make sure you are familiar with the weight capacity of the lift. Always remember not to overload it, as this will result in damage to the lift and potentially dangerous accidents.
• Select the appropriate location and size of the lift keeping in mind if the vehicle is a Sedan, SUV or oversize vehicle. (Oversized are not permitted to go on the lift)
• Once the location and the lift are selected, drive the vehicle on the lift keeping in mind the lift and the operation mechanism.
• Make sure that the lift pads are in contact with the designated lift points. Lift or lower the vehicle when its needed.
• When operating a car lift, make sure you have a clear area around the vehicle. Make sure the area is clean and free of debris or body parts.
• Once everything is cleared, insert the key into the lift switch, turn the key into the proper position whether is up or down. Remember this is a dead man switch, meaning that if you take your hands off the switch the lift will stop operating.
• Automatic safety locks prevent sudden lowering of a car lift from the raised position.
• Lowering the lift/Retrieving the vehicle from the lift, make sure there is no debris or body parts underneath the lift. Insert the key into the switch turn the key into the lower position allow the vehicle turn down.
• When working with a car lift, always ensure that the safety locks are engaged. These locks prevent the sudden lowering of the lift from its raised position if the hydraulic pressure goes down. This prevents the lift from falling on the vehicle below. Also, do not park another vehicle under the lift. These locks prevent accidents from occurring and ensure a safe working environment. When using an automatic car lift, make sure to follow the user manual to prevent any accidents.
• To lower the lift, the operator must release the single-point release lever in the raised position. After this, the locks will be re-engaged and the lift will descend only to the next lower lock position. The lift will then be raised back to the desired height.
• Assure to operating a car lift safely, always avoiding to create a dangerous situation.
• Check all moving parts, restraints, and lock mechanisms before you use the car lift. If the lift stock either on his way up or down do not get under the lift. Do not try to troubleshoot. Call AAA Manager immediately, if the manager is not on the site contact the hotel manager.
• Clean the lift regularly.
• Practice AAA Basics.
• Immediately secure all keys.
• Willing to adhere to all AAA Parking uniform and appearance standards.
• Ensure all guest's valet experience are memorable and unique.
• Run fast to retrieve cars.
• Drive slow when presenting cars.
• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and frequently exposed to care exhaust fumes

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state in which you will be working (if you are an out-of-state college student, you must have a valid license in your state of residence)
• Pass a pre-employment background check including drug, MVR and criminal background check
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission
• Must be able to speak, read and write Standard English
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Must be able to stand during entire shift
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, run, use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and ability to adjust focus
