Details about this exciting opportunity:

  • Full-Time Certified Recovery Peer Advocate or Peer Specialist to work in our Hartsdale Behavioral Health Clinic.
  • This role will be part of a small multidisciplinary team that provides support and assistance to consumers (aged 4 throughout the lifespan).
  • Compensation: $40,000 - $42,000/year.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Enrolling individuals into wrap around services, providing initial engagement and assessment for COPS Referrals and new clients entering services.
  • Completion of initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Assisting the team with crisis intervention and stabilization, as needed, to support the client.
  • Using a variety of methods, tailored to the individual, to move through the process of setting and reaching, health and wellness related goals.
  • Participating in outreach and recruitment activities with the team, forging relationships with community providers to help individuals access care.

If you have the following:

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active NYS Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) credential.
  • Be eligible for NYS Certification or Provisional Certification as a Peer Specialist with the understanding that the person will become certified within 1 year of employment.
  • 2 years of active participation in mental health, substance use recovery, self-help activities, peer support or peer advocacy programs or similar programs.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
