Details about this exciting opportunity:

• 30 hours/week Board Certified or Board Eligible Child Psychiatrist for our Yonkers Family Mental Health Clinic.
• 100% outpatient, treating mainly children and adolescents, along with some adults when necessary.
• This role will collaborate with a full multidisciplinary team including MDs, APRN’s, LPNs, PhD’s, and LCSWs.
• Full nursing support with LPNs so that this role can focus on patient care.
• No weekends!
• Compensation: $125.00 - $145.00/hour.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Provide psychiatric evaluation and regular updates of clients as needed in consultation with other treatment staff.
• Provide ongoing psychopharmacologic management when indicated.
• Participate in family meetings and phone contacts as needed.
• Attend staff meetings whenever possible and participate in treatment planning for clients.
• Conduct brief individual therapy/family therapy conjointly with therapists when indicated.
• Together with the primary therapist, maintain contact with hospital treatment team when client has been hospitalized.
• Document evaluations, psychopharmacologic, and individual/family therapy interventions at the time the service is provided.

If you have the following:

Qualifications:

• Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Child Psychiatry.
• Candidates finishing Child Psychiatry fellowships are eligible for consideration.
• Active New York State Medical and DEA License required.

And Attributes:

• Knowledge and skills in the practice of both general and child psychiatry as applied to community mental health programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Sufficient computer skills to complete necessary job functions and use our electronic health record.
• Basic Life Support (if not current, must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment) and Buprenorphine Treatment (if not current, may be obtained within the first year of employment) certifications.
