Summary: WindRiver offers a wide variety of amenities, one of which being Citico's Restaurant at WindRiver located inside Lakeside Inn. As a Cook, you will provide excellent customer service for all our guests. You will be responsible for ensuring the best possible food service and guest experience. This position has the potential to learn all back of house responsibilities with the potential for upward growth!

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Cook and prepare menu selections
• Receive deliveries and maintain inventory
• Maintain professional composure while managing large groups quickly and efficiently
• Provide attentive and polite service throughout meal or event
• Occasionally take food and beverage orders and enter into the point-of-sale system
• Respond promptly and courteously to requests
• Assist the regular cleaning and preparation of the kitchen for food preparation
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the kitchen
• Properly date and store all items including equipment and perishable foods
• Report all equipment problems and maintenance to Supervisor
• Accurate completion of closing paperwork and cash handling
• Maintain professional appearance, behavior, posture, and hygiene
• Follow daily/weekly/monthly routines to maintain acceptable standard of operation
• Participate in ongoing skills and knowledge training
• Attend all educational, safety, etc. staff meetings

Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience cooking in a restaurant environment
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old for serving alcohol
• Current TN ABC license or ability to renew or obtain a license
• High School Diploma preferred
  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must work as a team player with a positive attitude in a teamwork environment
• Must be willing to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Excellent track record of communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable to accommodate scheduling needs
• Willingness to participate in ongoing skills and knowledge training
• Ability to improvise and make decisions based on business or guest needs
  

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, climb stairs, lift 55lbs, stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
