Position Description: The CNC Machine Router Operator is responsible for setting-up, programming and operating a CNC Router according to instructions to produce parts as specified while maintaining safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Sets up and operates CNC machine router to cut parts according to specifications

2. Review and understand CNC set up instructions, blueprints and specifications

3. Operates from detailed blueprints yet able to conceptualize and fabricate parts per requirements

4. Operates tools such as but not limited to grinders, band saws, pallet jack, air hose, etc.

5. Verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications through the use of calipers, tape measure, height gauge, etc.

6. Push control buttons to activate auto cycles

7. Evaluate programs for routers by entering instructions including zero and reference points; setting tool registers and offsets; calculating requirements including basic math and proving part programs

8. Inspect work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to determine accuracy of machine operation measuring instruments

9. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating among the different shifts the actions taken, irregularities that occurred and continuing needs of each group

10. Ensure a safe working environment and keep work area clean and organized

11. Document actions by completing production and quality logs

12. Obtain Forklift Certification per Company requirements and operate forklifts in a safe and professional manner

13. Record and maintain production and process data per Work Area Instructions

14. Inspect and measure parts per Work Instructions, Control Samples, Inspections Plans and Customer Drawings to verify conformance to quality standards

15. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and process deviations

16. Notify supervisors when parts fail to meet quality standards

17. Utilize computerized data entry equipment and various word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs to enter, store and/or retrieve information.

Salary Range: The Target Pay Range for this position is $16.00-$17.00. The full Pay Range is $16.00-$24.00 per hour. At Multifab Inc, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications.

  • Mon- Fri (6:00am to 2:30pm) or Mon- Fri (2:30 p.m.- 11:00 p.m.)
