ABOUT THE JOB

As a CNC Set Up Technician you will provide technical support for all CNC equipment including washers and leak testers to ensure required quality and production exceeds customer expectations.

3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 10:30pm-7:00am and weekends as needed
Pay Range: $23-$30 based on experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned CNC equipment, plan for and take corrective action.
  • Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain required quality and maximum production.
  • Measuring product for quality specifications, using inspection gauges and instruments.
  • Check product for visual defects.
  • Guiding shift and use leadership skills to train or counsel individuals.
  • Repair fixtures, hydraulics, drill heads, gears, bearings, bushings, and general department maintenance.
  • Replace all department drills, endmills, taps, boring bars, and face mills.
  • Basic CNC Programming.
  • Run production as needed.
  • Such other duties as are assigned from time-to-time.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING PREFERRED

Knowledge of blueprint reading, inspection equipment, tool changes, offset changes, boring bars, and indicators. Ability to read and write NC Code. Experience with recovery process for E-Stop and/or machine crash conditions. Forklift experience preferred.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

  • Lead efforts to consistently and continuously improve productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Recover and repair crashed machinery, run and check parts for dimensions.
  • Use Company Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Change CNC tooling as necessary in Mills and Lathes.
  • Work safety to prevent injuries and follow all safety guidelines
