Summary

Responsible for the setup and operation of Hydromat machines to ensure production of quality parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reading and comprehending part specific blue prints and dimensions

Recognizing quality principles as applied to products

Using micrometers, calipers and basic gages

Following instructions and procedures

Being flexible and willing to assist in other areas when needed

Checking parts with optical inspection equipment or equivalent measurement

Understanding procedures and work instructions

Employing appropriate statistical tools

Comprehending proper operation of machine

Changing Hydromat Machine tooling

Performing comprehensive machine preventive maintenance routines

Education and/or Experience

Equivalent of a high school education or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Training

Basic Orientation, Quality Systems Overview, Standard Operating Procedures and job specifics as defined by the quality system.

Language Skills

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Interaction with plant and management personnel required. Must possess the ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions. Should have the ability to effectively communicate with management and coworkers in a friendly, professional and respectful manner.

Mathematical Skills

Should possess basic math skills, including ability to use gages, including micrometers, calipers and various sized plug gages.
