Connection Christian Church began in 2000 as a church plant and a multisite campus. Those first years doing the portable church routine—setting up then tearing down in schools, banquet centers, a warehouse, and a movie theater—instilled valuable traits into the church family.


Though CCC now has its own building and no longer has to haul totes in and out every week, the gritty determination, adaptability, volunteer culture, and deep desire to make a place for everyone to connect and belong remains strong.

Moreover, CCC has always been driven by the mission of Jesus to reach the one, and a vision of a place where anyone, especially those who have had little or no experience with church or who had become disconnected from church, would find a connection to God and a place to belong.


This is a healthy, strong, resilient church that is eager to add more people to the church family. We are looking for a team member who loves to strategize, equip, train, and lead staff and high-capacity volunteers in putting the mission and vision into practice and who has the giftedness and experience to create systems and teams that will allow us to care for double our current size and beyond.


JOB SUMMARY


The Co-Lead Pastor (Administration & Development) is responsible to develop and promote a shared vision and lead communication and execution of that vision in cooperation with the Co-Lead Pastor (Teaching & Care), staff, elders and church volunteers using multiple forms of communication, including spiritual teaching. The Co-Lead Pastor is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the church staff and the “business” of the church.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work in continual unified step with the Co-Lead Pastor (Teaching & Care), to develop and accomplish the vision of Connection Christian.
  • Vision Communication & Execution
  • Preaching to the congregation an average of 5-10 weeks per year
  • Strategic Planning.
  • Staff Supervision and Development, including the definition of roles & responsibilities, prioritization of tasks & initiatives, goal setting, accountability, and performance reviews.
  • Ministry Team Development.
  • Leadership Development, including spiritual, competency & character mentoring & development of all leaders.
  • Business Management, including oversight of finance, contracts, employee benefits, etc.


SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS


  • A thriving personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as well as a passion for the local church and alignment with the vision of Connection Christian Church.
  • A commitment to a lifestyle of continual growth in both character & competency as a follower of Jesus.
  • A life that shows fruit in regard to the biblical qualifications of an elder.
  • A servant’s heart and a desire to use his gifts & abilities for the furtherance of the Kingdom of God.
  • A team-first, teachable mentality that adds to the synergy of the Connection Christian team.
  • At least a 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university as well, optimally, either a postgraduate degree in a ministry-related field and/or at least a decade of relevant ministry experience.
  • A shepherd’s heart and a business mind, being able to see & care for the people behind the numbers while also recognizing the need for healthy business and leadership practices to ensure the success of the local church.
  • A passion for the spiritual and professional development of all down-line reports; recognizing the responsibility of soul care and development for all employees.
  • A tithing member of Connection Christian, as well as a personal commitment to a lifestyle of financial generosity as he is led.
  • It is preferred that the pastor have a background in the Restoration Movement.
