COMMERCIAL ESTIMATOR

Brycon is now hiring an experienced, detail orientated Construction Estimator to join our team of construction professionals in Reno.

Job Duties

• Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on all types of construction projects.
• Actively build subcontractor/supplier database and relationships to ensure the best pricing.
• Manage the effective standardization, organization, preparation, and proper distribution/submission of preconstruction solicitations, qualification submissions, company information, and other preconstruction-related correspondence associated with projects assigned to this role, both upstream and downstream, on behalf of the company.
• Prepare properly qualified and clarified conceptual budgets
• Build effective relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company vision, mission, and core values, and meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.
• Perform turnkey estimating duties from the time of project’s introduction to the company and beginning of construction.
• Establishing a complete understanding of the project scope of work related to the request for proposal.
• Soliciting accurate pricing from qualified subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Defining/confirming the scope of work for each subcontractor, vendor, and supplier
• Submitting proposal in a professional manner and in timeframe and format required.
• Participating in meetings with the project management team to prepare any successful estimates for construction.

Experience, Skillset, & Educational Requirements

• Experience using estimating software and/or excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug/alcohol testing
• Valid driver’s license, favorable driving record.
