Job description
Western Technologies Inc. has an excellent opportunity in our Fort Mohave office for a Civil Engineering Technician also known as a Construction Materials Testing Technician. This is an entry level position for those with interest in learning about construction materials testing techniques. We will teach you how to perform field/laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and other construction materials and mix designs according to ASTM procedures. Basic knowledge of masonry and asphalt field/laboratory testing procedures is preferred. Field/Laboratory certification or ability to achieve concrete and soil field/laboratory certifications desirable. Other responsibilities will include assisting with maintaining AMRL / CCRL / NDOT accreditation, preparing daily reports, documenting test results, assist project managers and engineers with assignments. Organizational skills, computer skills, good math skills, clean driving record are required.
Certifications preferred but not required include:
American Concrete Institute (ACI)
ATTI certifications in:
