POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: SHIPPING INDUSTRY TERMINAL OPERATIONS-COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS & TEAMBUILDING TRAINER– Corporate Instructor
The COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS and TEAMBUILDING Instructor will develop a customized curriculum for Terminal Operations Communications Skills and Teambuilding Principles and Processes, teach classes that integrate concepts into a business environment;

Classes delivered at the company site in a classroom and/or shop floor environment or virtually through an online platform.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Convey concepts as they might appear to an employer’s business processes and procedures.
2) Deliver the classes in a contextualized business environment, following an agreed-upon schedule of lesson plans that will support the technical aspects of their jobs as well as teambuilding and communication.
3) Coordinate all curricula with the employer and monitor students’ progress, identifying issues they may have while attending classes.
4) Maintain records on all students, including but not limited to accurate attendance records.
5) Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skill development and reinforces critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
6) Perform all other duties as assigned by the SELACO staff.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· A Bachelor’s degree and experience in Supply Chain instruction.
· Demonstrated ability to teach in a small business or corporate environment.
· Ability to adjust curriculum to the business environment for critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· College Graduate-Emphasis Logistics, Supply Chain and Team Building
· 7 to 10 years of experience
· Experience working with diverse cultures
· Experience training in a Union workspace

1) Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations

3) Skilled in teaching adult learners
4) Willingness to work on a flexible schedule to meet educational requirements
5) Possess strong interpersonal skills
6) Ability to travel to assigned Companies for instructional assignments
COMPENSATION
- Hourly compensation as independent consultant. Starting pay at $85 / hour, DOE
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $85.00 - $155.00 per hour
