Job Type:
Contract; 5 weeks and another for 3months
Job Summary:
Examines all existing Dallas County adult specialty courts to ensure compliance with best practices and state regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintains the Courts dismissal dockets and a current inventory of all cases and
other matters pending before each court to control the movement of cases throughvarious legal processes.
Serves as the primary administrative representation of the Courts to attorneys,
litigants, news reporters, other parties, to minimize the Judges= administrative
tasks and maximize the time available to pursue matters in the court.
Drafts for the Judges? signature orders, writs and other documents which
contribute to initiating or concluding necessary legal actions or remedies.
Implements court policies and procedures of the Judges to ensure effective and
efficient operations of the Courts.
Prepares the annual budget of the court.
Coordinates with data services on developing report generations for the Court?s
use; makes recommendations on updating information used for reports.
Maintains roster of attorneys available for court appointment; makes assignments
as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Skilled in the use of standard software applications
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public
Education and Experience:
- Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study. One (1) year of additional work related experience required.

- Standard office environment.
