The Bibb County School District is now accepting applications for Crossing Guard.
JOB SUMMARY:
Controls and monitors vehicular and pedestrian traffic at specified locations before and after school as assigned.
REPORTS TO:
Crossing Guard Coordinator(s); Deputy Chief of Campus Police; School Principal
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Criminal background check required.
- Must have a desire to work with children.
- Must be able to safely direct children and traffic.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to effectively communicate.
- Must be able to quickly respond to emergencies when necessary.
- Some knowledge of traffic laws and the ability to use sound judgement.
SALARY/TERMS/BENEFITS:
- 180 day work year; 3 hours per day
- Salary Range: Grade 9, Hourly $9.74 - $10.98 (placement on the salary schedule is based on years of allowed related experience). The stated salary range reflects the opportunity for pay over the course of the employee's tenure.
