Based on exceptional growth, we are adding to our Customer Service (CSC) team, on-site in La Canada, California! Customer Service Representatives are the middlemen that bring offices and customers together to move truckload volumes of dry, refrigerated, and flatbed cargo. As part of the CSC team, a Customer Service Representative may be assigned specific accounts, encouraging continuity and relationship building. This position requires a great deal of organization, strong written and verbal communication, and computer skills (Oracle-based program). Working together, the CSC team handles a very high volume of transactions and multi-tasking is a valued skill. If this is you, or you like a challenge– let’s talk.

You will

• Manage and distribute produce EDI loads

• Manage and distribute produce manual tenders

• Provide daily service reports

• Manage and update the DSR for problem loads company-wide

• Communicate with traffic departments on daily issues

• Coordinate bidding on off-contract with value-added service

• Build relationships with developing accounts

• Use strong relationships to understand customer’s business, better qualifying them to identify

• Solve customer’s problems

• Negotiate as market demands

• Deliver exceptional customer service

• Maintain and increase ALC’s image and reliability with customers

• Uphold the company standard following the company principles of Customer, Company, Office

Skills and Experience

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who excels in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in Freight Brokerage/customer service is a plus

• Excellent and effective communication skills

• Strong customer service orientation and excellent work ethic

• Ability to quickly process information and make decisions

• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills, and ability to handle conflict

• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
