TITLE: Customer Service Specialist

LEVEL/DIVISION: Supply Chain

REPORTING TO: Customer Service Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Candidate will be the liaison between the GM and FCA customer base and their requirements and the Northern Stamping team, owning all communication (including customer mandated vendor managed inventory systems), product demand requirements, scorecard requirements, and customer relationship management.

Candidate will work closely with Master Production Scheduling, Operations- Production–Quality-Supply Chain teams, and outside processors, to ensure customer compliance, while also serving as a customer advocate realizing and maintaining the interests of NSI as the primary and 1st priority.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review daily/weekly customer demand information via EDI 830 and 862 transactions through customer portals and ensure demand is in our ERP system for processing. Verify that our shipment requirements are understood and followed through on
• Prepare BOL/Shippers for products needed for all customer locations on a daily basis (multiple times daily) including the need to revise shippers with amended/most up to date information
• Learn, review, and update GM and FCA customer scorecards and assist in putting together recovery plans for when scores are less than 100%. Knowledge of FCA-DRIVE and COVISINT web portals a plus.
• Develop and maintain solid customer relationships for assigned accounts
• Work with logistics team as needed to coordinate transportation with assigned freight carriers
• Provide support to supply chain and inventory control teams as needed outside of scope of current role (cycle counting, physical inventory, root cause/corrective action, etc.)
• Work with quality and operations team in creating, maintaining and storing work instructions and standard operating procedures for role
• Ensures a clean and safe work area.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:

• College Associate Degree preferred, with a minimum of High School Diploma and equivalent work experience. Must possess strong mathematical skills.
• Minimum of (5) years of Customer Service and Inventory Control experience in a manufacturing environment with proven knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery. Automotive stamping experience preferred.
• Must be detailed oriented and pay close attention to accuracy.
• Minimum of (5) years’ experience with Microsoft products (Word & Excel). Must possess MRP/ERP experience
• Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems and discrepancies. As well as the ability to resolve such issues effectively and timely.
• Regularly required to sit, bend, and stand, lift up to 30 pounds with occasional climbing.
• Ability to work in both an Office or Plant environment with occasional exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals.

• Valid drivers’ license is required.
• High Degree/Sense of Urgency is required along with prioritization and self-accountability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
