Accord is searching for a Customer Support Specialist who is customer service driven, inclusive, collaborative person with technical skills to reduce the barriers that people with disabilities face accessing remote or virtual services, including telehealth.

Working as a Customer Support Specialist, You Will:

  • Identify, screen and enroll people served in other Accord programs into the TAG (Technology Assistance Grant).
  • Purchase and support the installation of technology equipment
  • Help Family and Community Services staff to resolve technology issues related to Electronic Visit Verification.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to Accord people served, whether on the phone, on a virtual call or in person.
  • Log services provided in Accord’s electronic health record system.
  • Turn in weekly log of work performed to supervisor.
  • Travel locally for work.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • All new hires will be required to provide proof of Covid 19 full vaccination or have an approved request for exemption before their start date.
  • High School Diploma or higher education
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds (assisted).

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and experience building collaborative relationships with programs and people served.
  • Ability to multi-task and pivot based on workload.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (e.g. MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word) and other virtual conferencing programs.
  • Two years of training in a technology field or completion of technology coursework or two years of information technology experience preferred.

Work Environment:

The Customer Support Specialist in this position typically works the majority of the time in the office and from home- Hybrid position. Generally from Monday – Friday, daytime hours, with some flexibility based on program needs. The person in this position will work Full Time, Non-Exempt, 40 hours per week.
