KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn and analyze complex healthcare data and provide insights and product ideation
  • Meet with users to understand requirements and document those requirements for consumption by the technology team
  • Supervise and/or participate in implementations of technology projects and support the resulting features in a Production environment
  • Lead and own projects from conception to production and support when needed
  • Perform data validation testing and create test documents for technology deliverables
  • Create release notes for new product features
  • Communicate new technology features and updates to features to user groups
  • Maintain feature documentation and make feature lists and details easily accessible to internal stakeholders

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Highly ambitious, given role will grow as the company does
  • Self-starter, very energetic and ability to change directions quickly
  • High standard of quality and commitment to product top-notch work
  • Proficiency and experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) to analyze data
  • Knowledge of healthcare data, such as claims; and industry formats such as HL7 and FHIR
  • Experience with data integration technologies such as ETLs and web service APIs
  • Critical thinking: able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings
  • Ability to work with large amounts of information and see the ‘bigger picture’
  • Comfortable with juggling facts, figures, and number crunching
  • Excellent math skills
  • Ability to manage projects and teams when needed
  • Ability to write requirements documentation in a way that is understandable to stakeholders and actionable by engineers and QA testers
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and the ability to lead teams according to those processes
  • Strong curiosity, desire to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to work well with people of different backgrounds and skill sets
  • Ability to multi-task across a range of diverse projects
  • Ability to work independently and in a highly virtual environment, with colleagues all over the country
  • Strong technology skills and ability to master working across a range of software programs, including Microsoft Office applications, Jira, Visio, and various clinical applications (EHR, care management system)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends when required

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from highly selective university
  • Industry experience in healthcare
