MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with and provide support and training to URI’s CMS users.
  • Troubleshoot errors and engage in creative ways of restructuring forms to assist in the prevention of data entry errors by end-users.
  • Refine existing data management practices and institute new processes to support the collection of relevant, timely, and accurate program data.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Data Management and Improvement to determine data collection and reporting needs.
  • Execute data cleaning and processing using a variety of approaches, from reviewing data manually to building tools for automated data quality assurance.
  • Provide support with tasks related to planning, coordination, and preparation of meetings, trainings, and projects.
  • Assist in the maintenance of up-to-date end user manuals and other documentation.
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Data Management and Improvement and other members of the QIET team to develop and implement data collection and evaluation methodologies.
  • Review and complete electronic chart audits as needed.
  • Collect and interpret data related to Social Services.
  • Analyze results using charts, Pivot diagrams, numbers, business narratives, etc.
  • Present analysis to relevant members of the team and organization.
  • Identify patterns and trends in data sets to help make relevant decisions.
  • Assist with the creation of new form sets and reporting functions which meet funding and licensing requirements as additional programs are integrated into the CMS.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, or Economics.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in data analysis.
  • Experience in direct service provision in a social service organization a plus.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets as needed.
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills.
  • Ability to attend to detail while maintaining a view of the big picture.
  • Experienced and skilled in use of databases. SQL programming a plus.
  • Excellent overall computer skills including ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
