The Ross County Health District is actively seeking a motivated BJA Project / Data Coordinator within the Division of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement.

Position Description: The BJA Project / Data Coordinator I will be responsible for the enhancement and expansion of and multi-sector community data collection network and BJA grant initiatives to support data-driven community responses to emerging drug threats in Ross County. The BJA Project / Data Coordinator I will collaborate with local law enforcement, health care systems, behavioral health systems, non-profit organizations, local schools, and community partners in the expansion and enhancement of data collection systems, peer recovery support services, and k-12 youth drug prevention education. The BJA Project / Data Coordinator I will guide the planning, implementation, and evaluation of grant initiatives for the expansion and enhancement of peer recovery support services, cross sector data collection systems, and k-12 youth drug prevention education. The BJA Project / Data Coordinator will serve as project coordinator for the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, Substance abuse Site-Based Program Grant for the Ross County Health District. The BJA Project / Data Coordinator I is a grant funded position.

Pay Range: pay is commensurate with education and professional experience. - $20.56 - $25.87 hrly.

Hours / Location: Works a general schedule from 8:00 am – 4:30 M-F although flexible schedule may be required, including evenings, weekend, and holidays. Work in office settings, in the field, and outdoors. Requires travel to off-site locations / communities in Ross County and occasionally out of Ross County.

Status, Classification, SLSA Status: Full time, classified, non-exempt.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in public health, nursing, planning or related field; MPA or MPH preferred

· Professional experience in grants management or development preferred

· Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

· Ability to develop, organize, motivate, and coordinate groups.

· Ability to collect, analyze, and organize data.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with staff members, public officials, representatives, and other stakeholders and communicate effectively with various audiences (both in writing and verbally).

· Ability to prepare informative and accurate reports on program progress

· Knowledge of Grants Administration Procedures and related Laws and Regulations

· Knowledge and understanding of the PHAB Accreditation process, familiarity of PHAB Standards, Measures, and Domains.

· Must have a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable in accordance with the agency’s insurance policy.

  • Ability to pass a B.C.I Background Check and Drug Screening.
