Description
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Perform clerical and data entry tasks in order to maintain accurate files and to ensure data is secure.
Primary Tasks:
Enter data into RPMS in order to process purchase orders/obligations and Eligibility of Benefits (EOB).
Sort purchase orders and files appropriately either electronically or via paper.
Processes EOBs by copying and attaching to purchase orders.
Communicate with vendor health facilities and providers regarding clerical andadministrative processing and follow-up.
Provide assistance to patients concerning denials of payment for health care services on other matters.
Provide patients and outside providers information related to guidelines, policies and procedures.
Confirm patient eligibility regarding Indian Descent and residency requirements per guidelines.
Maintain spreadsheet with current information regarding patient referrals as needed.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
High School Diploma or GED
Strong communication skills
Beginner Microsoft Word and Excel
Good telephone skills
Must be able to work independently and manage self
TARGET
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication skills
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent telephone skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Joint Commission and CNHSA policies and procedures
One year directly related experience
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm
