Job Purpose or Objective(s): Perform clerical and data entry tasks in order to maintain accurate files and to ensure data is secure.

Primary Tasks:

  • Enter data into RPMS in order to process purchase orders/obligations and Eligibility of Benefits (EOB).

  • Sort purchase orders and files appropriately either electronically or via paper.

  • Processes EOBs by copying and attaching to purchase orders.

  • Communicate with vendor health facilities and providers regarding clerical andadministrative processing and follow-up.

  • Provide assistance to patients concerning denials of payment for health care services on other matters.

  • Provide patients and outside providers information related to guidelines, policies and procedures.

  • Confirm patient eligibility regarding Indian Descent and residency requirements per guidelines.

  • Maintain spreadsheet with current information regarding patient referrals as needed.

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong communication skills

  • Beginner Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Good telephone skills

  • Must be able to work independently and manage self

TARGET

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent telephone skills

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Joint Commission and CNHSA policies and procedures

  • One year directly related experience

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm
