Description: Responsible for assisting all clinical intake staff with clerical functions.

JOB DUTIES /KNOWLEDGE

• Answers telephone calls directed to the intake department and prioritizes calls

• Obtains demographic information from referral sources
• Enters intake data into computerized system with 100% accuracy, ensuring no duplicate entries are made
• Serves as liaison for the Intake Coordinators working in the hospitals or nursing homes

• Notifies all appropriate departments of any changes related to the SOC

• Forwards insurance information to the Insurance Verifier, and ensures timely verification

• Organizes SOC information and assures placement of COC and ancillary services

• Performs all clerical functions of the intake department
• Collaborates with Director of Intake, Supervisors and Coordinators. Consults with supervisor when appropriate
• Demonstrates ability to perform quality and effective services.
• Demonstrates ability to set and meet objectives, and to find increasingly efficient ways to perform task.
• Completes work, and documentation with accuracy and within agency time frames.
• Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School diploma

2. Minimum of one year office experience

3. Experience in a health care office setting preferred

4. Effective verbal and written communication skills

5. Ability to effectively multi-task

6. Computer literacy, and effective typing skills

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
