Little Me Daycare is seeking an Education Director for our new facility. Our program will be serving children ages 6 weeks through 3 years. We are looking for an experienced Education Director who is ready to join our team as we finalize preparing the site and recruiting staff so that we will be ready to open as soon as we receive our permits from the Dept Of Health. The Educational Director is responsible for the success and day to day operations of the program. Ed. Director will ensure that Little Me Daycare provides the children with a safe and enriching environment where they will explore and grow. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
-staff management, family and community outreach, budget management, program assessment, curriculum planning.
-Establish and maintain a healthy, safe, and fun learning/working environment
-Work with teachers to assure that all classrooms are safe, attractive and developmentally appropriate
-Maintain the facility in accordance with DOH standards
-Supervise the overall program including, office manager, teachers, teaching assistants, family workers, custodian/food handler
-Annually reviews and provides recommendations regarding personnel and operational policies and procedures
-Familiar with Environmental Rating Scales (ECERS), assessment instruments for early childhood and childcare program quality
-Prepare and evaluate curriculum that gives the children the basic skills they will need to enter and succeed in school
-Informing staff of licensure requirements and policy changes through regular staff meetings
-Executing the policies and procedures that ensure the well being of children such as: developmentally appropriate curriculum, positive behavior management plans and safe arrival and departure
-Overseeing and maintenance of all staff, substitute and consultant files, ensuring compliance with all state and local licensing statues, as well as requirements within DOHMH's article 47
-Creating meaningful yet appropriate relationships with all parents, providing families with assistance, familiarizing parents with the center and policies.
Qualifications include :
NYS teaching certification
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Experience in administration of an early childhood program

Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
