We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Engineering Team. This person will develop mechanical & electromechanical design solutions based on engineering principles and be involved in presentation of solution to customer.
Responsibilities:
- Researches and analyzes Product Management design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Designs products or systems involving mechanical & electrical components such as instruments, controls, gas & diesel engines, thermal, hydraulic, and heat transfer systems; creates and maintains project schedules and, assigns tasks to project team as required; create and maintain accurate Bills-of-Materials.
- Plans and directs engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
- Directs and coordinates prototype fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- Provide effective communication with product manager(s) and team members on all stages of a project to identify and address problems and bottlenecks.
- Train other employees as needed.
Qualifications:
- BSME from four-year college or university and a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training.
- Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, AutoCAD, SolidWorks. Proficiency with Zuken software & SAP desired.
- Expertise in engineering documentation standards and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments in both an oral and written manner; Including the ability to speak effectively before groups of fellow employees or customers.
- Effective problem resolution skills combined with “big picture” awareness.
