What is Winchester Nursing Center?

• We are a family-operated, 40 bed skilled nursing facility with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We are accepting applications for a dietary aide.

Job responsibilities:

• Performs scheduled kitchen and dining room cleaning including worktables, meat blocks, refrigerators, and freezers. Sweeps and mops floor,. Carries soiled utensils and meal service equipment to wash area. Washes and cleans utensils. Returns clean utensils to proper storage areas. Carries out garbage and keeps work areas clean, dry, and free of hazardous equipment and supplies.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, and dining room as instructed.
• Serves food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Assists cook in preparing meals.
• Assists in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Delivers food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Removes food trays from carts and dining rooms and takes to dishwashing area.
• Prepares and serves supplements and snacks.
• Ensures that the dietary department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.
• Sets up for next meal.
• Obtains food and supplies as directed.
• Performs dishwashing duties.
• Assists with incoming supplies, stocking storeroom and freezer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of regulations surrounding safe food handling.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum of 3 feet.
