We educate our members on personal care to included but not limited to , hygiene and grooming, assistance with keeping their rooms clean, cooking , cleaning, medication distribution, and monitoring, all while continuously teaching life skills. All required training is paid for by Arletha's Home of Love, along with training by our Program Director.

Our organization is currently seeking a Direct Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing appropriate care that supports the physical, mental and emotional needs of our clients. Direct Care Workers work with a host of individuals with different needs and often in residential settings. It is vital that the successful candidate has experience in working with people with disabilities, is comfortable dealing with challenging situations, and has strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a personal assistant, maintaining the safety and well-being of the patient.
• Facilitate communications between family members and the patient.
• Fulfill insurance eligibility requirements and maintain records of work completed.
• Respond to emergency situations, such as medical incidents, suicidal situations, or other problems that may arise; follow emergency protocols; and notify appropriate staff of incident.
• Keep accurate logs of patients' actions and behavior that are useful for tracking issues that arise with certain patients.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
