At Thomas Allen our Direct Support Professionals provide personalized service and empowerment to individuals in their homes and in their communities. Our DSP’s work closely with those that they support to build new skills, develop healthy habits, and make memories that last a lifetime.

Experience is not required. Paid training is provided to build the foundations of your new career.

Responsibilities:

• Empower individuals with personal goal development and skill building
• Support individuals with personal cares, medication management, and medical equipment
• Support with meal preparation
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings
• Support individuals with home maintenance, social development, financial management, and developing healthy habits
• Other duties as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to support individuals with home maintenance, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and community outings
• A commitment to providing person-centered support
• High school diploma or equivalent
• DHS background clearance
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and acceptable driving record
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English Language
• Ability to lift per site requirements
