The Director, Government Sales- Public Safety will oversee teams of Senior Managers, Segment Vertical Sales who will have teams of Account Executives and Senior Account Executives. As a Director, the focus will be to develop and maintain Public Sector contracts in Public Safety vertical.

The Director is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising the Senior Managers and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to achieve balance between gross activation, CPGA & sales productivity goals.

This position is ideally located in Overland Park, KS with additional location options of Bellevue, WA, Reston, VA, Frisco, TX, Parsippany, NJ and New York City, NY.

  • Inspire and lead a team of up to 40 sales professionals selling wireless data, voice services, and 3rd party solutions.
  • Strong ability to network and build a strong sustainable outreach program for sales conversion.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with high-level buying influences and government officials.
  • Creative sales mindset to develop tactical programs and offerings to attract new business.
  • Strategic mindset to build working relationships across diverse channels of distribution.
  • Ability to encourage professional development through coaching and feedback while tracking and documenting progress.

The Experience You’ll Bring

  • More than 10 years’ direct government selling experience with high performing teams.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in selling within Public Safety vertical.
  • 4-7 years’ experience leading leaders in large, high-performing sales teams in national and/or different geographic regions; keeping the team ready for the next challenge and prepared to meet aggressive goals.
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence with experience meeting and pitching to the highest levels within Public Safety vertical.
  • Strong data analytics background with transformative way of thinking to stay ahead of the next goal.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred.

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Pay Range: $156,700 - $212,100

  • The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the states listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.
  • At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
