Director of Development - Roscommon Office (Middletown)
Job description
Position Summary:
The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of The Connection’s fundraising activities including the foundation/corporate grant writing process, donor cultivation, annual fund, planned giving and special events sponsor solicitation and audience development.
Working within Administrative Services, the Director of Development is part of the Information Technology team that supports smooth operations for agency programs across the state. The Connection provides essential services to people in need of assistance for homelessness, substance use treatment, behavioral healthcare, and returning to communities after incarceration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years experience or Master’s Degree with 5 years experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience writing funded grants in the $5,000 - $500,000 range
- Previous experience with non-profit fundraising
- Experience working in deadline-driven environments
- Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
- Able to monitor and meet income goals
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Current, valid US driver's license is required.

Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
