Our program is designed to support the building of a foundation for healthy living that is sustainable and includes counseling and classes for the parents or guardians.
Set in the serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia, our field is nestled in the Chattahoochee and Oconee National Forest and is sprinkled with miles of clear-running streams and rivers, making it an ideal setting for our evidence-based outdoor behavioral healthcare.
We are seeking a
Director of Professional Relations that is passionate to help families heal by sharing about the great outcomes the children in our program achieve. This is a vital role that ensures the right people know about and seek our services for families in need of help.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
- Build interest, awareness and trust in First Light, as well as a concurrent desire for families and referral partners in need of mental health services to work with the program.
- Take responsibility to build, nurture and manage a network of referring professionals resulting in First Light meeting and exceeding enrollment, and average daily census (ADC) quarterly and yearly goals.
- Engage in omni channel marketing activities (i.e. networking events, phone, mail, email, social media campaigns, and/or attend conferences and professional development events) primarily to educational consultants, but will also target other referral sources in collaboration with Business Development team.
- Represent First Light Wilderness nationally and position yourself as the “go to” person for information on mental health placements and professional development.
- Create high levels of collaboration and teamwork with the BD / Admissions Team, Sales Enablement, First Light program leadership, and Clinical / Program teams.
- Support the development and execution of thoughtful and intentional marketing plan strategy, as well as creative campaigns to drive referrals, generate leads build trusting relationships with referral partners, and instill a culture of excellence in customer service and customer experience throughout the program.

- Exceptional communicator with gift of persuasion
- Results driven & tenacious spirit
- Experience fielding initial phone calls from prospective parents in crisis or referring professionals looking for help in placing a young person in a higher level of care.
Requirements:
- 5+ years admissions and business development experience
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Extensive use of a CRM (salesforce) and other technologies
- Exceptional writing, presentation, and networking capabilities.
- Knowledge of mental health industry, trends, language, and treatment programs
Preferred skills that are a plus:
- Existing professional relationships Educational Consultants and others in adolescent mental health industry
- Active member of related professional associations
- Salesforce, BestNotes, Family Bridge, Outcome Tools, OneDrive, or DocuSign
- Wilderness Therapy experience
