Trellis Management Co. is seeking a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to lead and oversee the training and development of all staff at Trellis Mgmt. They will also be responsible for identifying the business’s developmental needs and ensuring that there is consistency with core competencies and goals.

In addition, the Director of Training and Development will assist with completing various reports and projects as directed by their supervisor.

Job Duties & Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Plans, organizes, and leads training programs ensuring proper execution at all levels of company departments.
  • Ensures consistency in the delivery and application of training standards across the company.
  • Designing employee training programs that align with company goals, industry standards, and employee skill sets.
  • Oversees the planning, prioritization, and development of new training programs and initiatives, ensuring that these programs and initiatives are consistent with the company’s overall strategies, objectives, and needs.
  • Follow up with the leadership and management of all departments to ensure that the parties involved in each training program complete their training.
  • Providing employees with feedback on their performance and offering guidance on areas for improvement.
  • Creating training manuals, classroom activities, and other materials needed to deliver training sessions.

Administration:

  • Conducting interviews to screen prospective employees for job openings.
  • Coordinating with corporate suppliers to provide equipment for training sessions.
  • Assisting with organization development efforts such as team building activities and conflict resolution.
  • Mentorship role to key personnel in the training and development department, ensuring constant development in their professional skills.
  • Encourage and foster teamwork throughout all departments and staff.
  • Monitors and ensures the achievement of results within the approved training department budget.
  • Maintaining records of all training activities and materials used during sessions.
  • Keep related forms and material up to date.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years property management experience
  • Must have experience with a thorough knowledge and understanding of Affordable Housing & Project Based Section 8 programs and regulations
  • Knowledge of day-to-day building operations
  • Effective communication skills-both oral and written, strong technology and training design experience
  • Proficient with computer, including Yardi, Rent Cafe & Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized in the work environment, detail oriented, accountable, and dependable
  • Must have valid driver’s license, a dependable vehicle & valid insurance
  • This is a Monday-Friday, full-time position, requiring you to work at the corporate office and/or at sites as necessary.

Salary: $85+ /DOQ
