Our commercial dispatchers earn $35.00 to $55.00 per hour, based on experience and performance. It is NOT uncommon for dispatch staff to start at the lower end of the compensation just listed and advance to the upper end within 24 months.

Commercial Dispatcher Job Description:

As a commercial dispatcher at Priority, you will manage/control a fleet or zone populated with Dock trucks, Flatbeds and Tractor trailers. Our dispatchers expedite live work to drivers from our online order entry system and in-house customer service team. Then monitor the status of the work and progress of the drivers.

All operations are conducted at our modern, three-building campus in Vadnais Heights. We offer a terrific work environment with great benefits and room to advance!

We operate 24/7/365 and currently offering shifts primarily 7:00am to 4:00pm and 8:00am to 5:00pm M-F.

In an effort to help you perform and advance, each commercial staff is part of a four-to-five-person team. You will enjoy the comradery and support of your fellow team members as you expedite the most important same day freight shipments of more than 4000 local customers.

Dispatcher Qualifications:

• Dispatch, driving or transportation industry experience required
• Extensive knowledge of the Twin Cities
• Excellent communication skills
• You work well solo, and with a team
• Critical thinking skills

Job Responsibilities of a Dispatcher:

• Dispatch on-demand and routed work to our fleet of more than 200 local commercial drivers.
• Monitor the status of drivers’ and their work
• Continuously review the work for accuracy
• Communicate ETA’s and order information with drivers, internal office staff, and customers.
