ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Distribution Manager will be responsible for overseeing the performance of Din Tai Fung’s external distribution centers and logistics throughout the network. As part of a Supply Chain team, the Distribution Manager will play a key role in executing our overall goal of ensuring that stores receive high-quality products that meet internal specifications, are delivered on-time and accurately, and are charged at the right price.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage and monitor inventory levels at broad-line distribution centers to ensure a consistent supply of products for our restaurants
- Host regular business reviews with our distribution partners to review service levels, align future planning, and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- On-board and standardize new distribution centers to support future markets and growth
- Act as an intermediary between distribution centers and suppliers to help facilitate speedy resolution to any shortages or delays on inbound purchase orders
- Establish the most efficient and competitive route-to-market for both existing and new markets
- Implement and manage systems for tracking distribution KPI’s, including order fill rate, on-time delivery, damages, and quality related issues
- Collaborate with the procurement team to manage supplier contracts and validate distributor invoice pricing accuracy
- Provide proactive communication to internal teams around out-of-stocks, substitutions, price changes, or updates to produce specifications
- Provide detailed volume forecasts to distributors to proactively account for changes in demand due to seasonality, menu changes and new restaurant openings. Streamline distribution operations with our Partners in the Northwest territories
- Support the logistics and distribution of DTF’s internal manufacturing operation to help optimize transportation efficiency and reduce freight costs. Partner with the sourcing team to identify and negotiate direct sourcing opportunities
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR DISTRIBUTION MANAGER:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
3-5 years experience in food service distribution
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office suite. Experience using third party supply chain technology platforms is preferred.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills, experience managing relationships with a network of external vendors
Project Management Experience Is Preferred
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

SALARY FOR DISTRIBUTION MANAGER: Dependent on Experience
LOCATION: Remote position until further notice. The Din Tai Fung USA Corporate Office is located in Arcadia, CA.
