Role and Responsibilities

Thetford LLC and Norcold LLC are seeking a highly motivated, experienced account manager to develop new and grow existing business with wholesale distributors in the RV, Marine, Commercial Truck and Outdoor markets. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to develop customer-specific strategies and the use of data to create fact-based category leadership presentations that will drive positive sales results. This position is based out of Corporate Headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan and will require travel.
  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with assigned wholesale distributors; understand their needs, identify their requirements, and acquire more business
  • Coach and train their sales representatives on the technical attributes, features, and benefits of our catalog of products to help them grow sales
  • Direct and monitor all aspects of trade events and promotions to ensure maximum impact
  • Conduct regular business reviews and accurately and timely update volume forecasts
  • Develop annual business growth strategies and sales plans in line with company priorities and initiatives that achieve or exceed designated sales targets
  • Build strategic partnerships to include annual joint business planning meetings and appropriate top to top interactions
  • Collect and analyze market and competitive data to develop plans, examine trends, prepare reports, and recommend strategies to the management team
  • Oversee sales support activities through coordination and interaction with inside sales, customer service, supply chain and finance to ensure that customer orders are processed, dispatched, invoiced, and paid accurately and on time
  • Monitor the performance of third-party sales representatives, coach and train them on products and services, direct utilization of displays and marketing assets, support dealer visits as appropriate and re-allocate resources as necessary
  • Represent the company and our brands at trade shows and events

Qualifications and Education Requirements

5+ years of successful sales experience (RV, Marine, Commercial Truck or Outdoor industries preferred)
Previous manufacturer sales or Business-to-Business sales experience
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals (short and long term)
Previous experience with customer databases (i.e. Salesforce)
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field is preferred but not required
