DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER - INDIANAPOLIS, IN
Job description
We are seeking a District Service Manager to oversee operations activities in our Indiana territory, based out of Indianapolis, IN. You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Service Collectors within an assigned region, overseeing service for apartment communities while providing direction and oversight. The successful candidate will ensure client satisfaction through ongoing client engagement and oversight of a part-time workforce responsible for service of assigned properties.
This position requires a willingness to work a split shift schedule which includes approximate hours in the morning from 9:00am-2:00pm and evening from 8:00pm-12:00am, depending on needs.
Skills Needed/Physical Requirements
Bilingual REQUIRED ( English and Spanish)
Management work experience preferred
Strong leadership and decision making skills
Excellent customer relationship management skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
Must have Smart Phone (Android OS v7.0 or iPhone iOS v11.3 or newer) with data plan and camera
Valid drivers license and good driving record
Ability to operate a motor vehicle for lengths of time and at night
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Ability to bend at waist and knees
Ability to lift arms shoulder height
Ability to climb stairs, walk distance or assigned property, and be exposed to disagreeable odors
Ability to work outdoors and in all/changing weather conditions
Responsibilities
-Lead and support a team of service collectors.
-Maintain weekly communication with the team.
-Provide on-call support to collectors as needed
-Backup other District Managers as needed
-Set performance standards and conduct annual reviews.
-Organizing and administering on-going training and development for team in support of safety, skills development, and professional growth.
-Work with HR on staffing needs and the interviewing and hiring process.
-Document team performance and address any issues through corrective action in accordance with Greenway policy.
-Oversee service collector operations to include recruitment, training, turnover, contract initiation and performance standards, budgeting compliance, contracts and equipment.
-Create and maintain reports for inventory, employee/contractor status, payroll and service complaints.
-Monitor company vehicle fleet conditions within your team, including maintenance schedules.
-Organize district logistics: set up new communities and securing warehouse/ storage sites as needed.
-Visit properties on a regular basis within respective territories to ensure adherence to service standards.
-Create and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients. Perform weekly site visits to each property in your portfolio.
-Perform audits for resident and collector compliance and address all issues as needed.
-Attend client meetings and other PR Events, including trade shows and industry functions.
-Adhere to and enforce Greenway Waste & Recycling’s policies and procedures.
-Other duties as assigned.
