Armstrong Teasdale is seeking a Docket Assistant to join its St. Louis office. The Docket Assistant manages the docket system to track deadlines and mitigate malpractice. This role may support US or foreign docketing processes and may support Litigation or Intellectual Property.

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

· Scans, saves and processes all incoming emails, mail and priority documents and distributes correspondence to the appropriate paralegal

· Saves documents and attachments to the in-house electronic filing system per the client naming conventions

· Uploads documents to client specific docketing systems and portals

· Runs ‘Due Date Status Reports’ and distributes to attorneys to ensure deadlines are met

· Updates docketing system when a matter has been closed, circulates docket sheets and pulls hard copy file for circulation

· May perform conflict checks, draft engagement letters in connection with file opening, and complete the file opening process

· May save and process invoices per designated guidelines for approval and payment

· May correspond with the USPTO or Secretary of State to ensure certifications required for legalizations and forward documents to foreign associates to complete filing requirements

· May run reports of corresponding details for status of all foreign files, assemble chart and forward to foreign associate and update the docketing system accordingly

· May download and save pleadings to the firm’s internal document management system / case docket and circulate to the case team

· May upload documents to client specific docketing systems and portals

· May correspond with foreign associate as needed

· May handle special projects as needed to assist Docketing Coordinators, Paralegals and Attorneys
