The Position:

We’re looking for Early Care Educators (Child Care Providers). Early Care Educators provide a high-quality early childhood environment to children in on-site child care environments, while family members and/or child care providers strengthen their early learning knowledge. This position is unique in that child care is provided for 2 hour sessions at various community locations.

Early Care Educators:

• Provide engaging and safe learning opportunities for young children.
• Design and implement high quality and best practice lesson plans for the children in on-site child care.
• Provide technical assistance, on-site coaching, training and assist with monitoring of part-time Early Care Educator Assistants.
• Conduct outreach activities, and identify/recruit potential participants who demonstrate interest in Candelen programs.
• Assist with car seat distribution events, crib deliveries and related Child Care Injury Prevention activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. (Minimum of a High School Diploma and at least four (4) years of related work experience in high quality child care setting.)
• Proof of COVID 19 vaccination required prior to start date. Reasonable accommodations may be made for religious or medical exemptions.
• Experience in a culturally and linguistically diverse work and/or community environment.
• Proficient with computer programs and ability to navigate technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office, email systems, SLACK and related programs.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid fingerprint clearance card.

You may have:

• The ability to communicate in Spanish
• Knowledge of the child care field and an understanding of the needs of young children and families.
• Background in children with special needs, Montessori, NAEYC, or other early childhood specialty
